Elk Plain Christian Preschool and Kindergarten offers six classes for children 3, 4, and 5 years of age. Each class offers a child the opportunity to learn and grow with other children their age. It is our goal to provide children with a well balanced experience that will help lay a foundation for their years ahead. Through a variety of activities, projects and active play the children learn many new skills and build confidence. Each class is designed to prepare the child by developing age-appropriate knowledge and skills in the following areas:

 

Social and Emotional

• Being part of a classroom community
• Following the rules of the class

• Communicating needs & feelings

Physical Development

• Gross motor skills: walk, jump, run, hop, crawl, throw, climb
• Fine motor skills: button, zip, lace, grasp, cut, write, squeeze, tweeze, pinch, stack, glue

Creativity

• Creative thinking
• Expression
• Art, drama, play and music

Cognitive Thinking and Problem Solving

• Math- Matching, sorting & classifying objects, number recognition, counting, shape recognition, comparisons and patterns.
• Language- Listening, following directions, comprehension, speech, communicating clearly so others understand, rhyming, letter recognition and sounds, naming colors, sequencing, fact vs fiction.
• Science- Physical laws, weather, seasons, sensory perception, animals, insects, and plants.

Biblical Knowledge

• Old Testament & New Testament stories

Current Year (2024-2025) Information

We have a couple of spots that are open in the 4's classes for the 2024-2025 school year. Please do not send in registrations or make payments until you are notified that we have a spot for your student(s). You can call Hannah Lynn at 253-576-8550 for more information about openings or to add your student to our waitlist.  

Tuition payments can be made in person by cash or check, or online with a credit card. Additional fees apply to credit card payments.

 

2025-2026 Preschool and Kindergarten Information

• Our 2025-2026 registration day is February 1st
• Registration must be completed in person and times are as follows:
  • Currently Enrolled Families: 9:00-10:00 AM
  • Past Preschool and Church Families: 10:05-10:25 AM
  • New Families: 10:30-11:00 AM
• Classes are filled on a first come basis
• Bring your completed registration form and $200 non-refundable registration fee

Classes Offered (For Next Fall): September-June

3 Year Old Preschool Classes

• Wednesday and Friday
• This class is for students who are 3 years old by 8/31/2025
• Students must be potty trained by the start of the school year
  • AM Class 8:55 am-11:55 am
  • PM Class 12:30 pm - 3:30 pm
  • $200 Registration Fee
  • $1,750 per year, divided into 10 monthly payments of $175
  • 3 Year Old Registration Form

4 Year Old Pre-K Classes

• Monday, Tuesday and Thursday
• This class is for students who are 4 years old by 8/31/2025
• Students must be potty trained
  • AM Class 8:55 am-11:55 am
  • PM Class 12:30 pm - 3:30 pm
  • $200 Registration Fee
  • $2,000 per year, divided into 10 monthly payments of $200
  • 4 Year Old Registration Form

5 Year Old Half-Day Kindergarten

• Monday - Thursday
• This class is for students who are 5 years old by 8/31/2025
• OR, they are an older 4 year old with a fall birthday (Teacher permission is required)
  • Please contact Hannah Lynn at 253-576-8550 if you'd like your 4 year old to be considered
• Students must be potty trained
  • AM Class 8:55 am-11:55 am
  • PM Class 12:30 - 3:30 pm
  • $200 Registration Fee
  • $2,600 per year, divided into 10 monthly payments of $260
